Had the chance to shoot (what else) boxing last night, the main event was an entertaining battle between two young unbeaten heavyweights, who put on a great fight. Enjoy the shots critiques and comments welcome as always.

Another well-timed, exposed, framed shot, Ed. You just keep raising the bar, even in small venues. I'm sure Rossy doesn't need reminders like this! Congrats.

Your usual stunning timing, clarity and titles! I see you brought Petepix in just to comment on this fight as it is his first post! :-)

With some soul searching, and short mentoring sessions with Ed, I've 'seen the light' and am in the process of changing over from Olympus to a Canon 30D. I've been cruising the Sports section of POTN for insight to lens' and camera set-up to make the transition easier and quicker. Ed has been very generous with his advise.

Ed gets us all sucked in ... makes us think we can actually do justice to the sport and then shows us that we are rank amateurs! I LOVE IT! In fact, I just posted a boxing thread, too.

Thanks for the comments,

Petepix, your welcome and anytime, just feel free to ask, more than happy to help out when I'm available.

Photodawg, I like the B&W's too, I convert them for fun only, they are usually not worth sending out to magazines converted. They simply do not want B&Ws...

Superdiver, these were shot with either the 24-70 f2.8L or the 70-200 f2.8L lenses.

Thanks again...
