My Little Nephew Logan

took some shots of my little nephew today and thought i'd share them with you guys.
the poor wee soul was 14 weeks premature last june. he is still on oxygen at the moment and has two little tubes up his nose to help him breathe but was ok to take them out for 20-25 mins so i could take some shots.
he's a brave wee fella but doing really great. :D

on the editing, i changed the colour of the throw from its original grey colour to this blue colour. the grey just didnt look right. also dodged the BG slightly to bring the white up.

Hey,

The second one is a keeper, but maybe get in a little closer - there is just too much space at the top. If you want to have some space, set it to the right (his left) as if he is looking towards something.

But that's just my tuppence - I ain't no expert. :)

Like the border for sure :).

nice edit. i see what you are doing. ive seen this type of crop in alot of photo's.
i just dont really see the point of cropping half the head away though.
thats my opinion though.
i will probably get one of them printed out A3 for my brother, should look good printed

Great photos - gorgeous baby. My twins were 6 weeks premature so I know the feeling. He looks like he's doing great!
I don't like the tight crop that saqib posted, if anything maybe just a little tighter at the top so there isn't so much white background (but I don't necessarily think it is needed).
What lens did you use at what settings?

thanks. i used my siggy 17-70. around f11 - f13
didnt have enough room to play with otherwise i would have used either my 50mm or 70-200 but the siggy is pretty damn sharp anyways

I don't particularly like the white BG; too distracting and harsh for what should be a nice soft picture (in focus of course).
