Can't Log in EE RC2 editor

Hello.
I did a database restore in slow mode yesterday, because I just could see the gallery index page. Any click on a photo returned a database error.

After restore all was ok again. And still is, except that I can't log in EE editor anymore. If I type what I think are the correct user and pwd it seems to log for a moment (a blank page with user name in the upper left corner) and returns to the login page.
If I try anything else it directly stays in the login page.

Before I try a restore again....Is there anything I can do to repair or change my password?

I meant a full site restore, since I can't use EE editor :wink:

Well, I reinstalled RC 2 (with a new blank database).

With RC 2 just installed, Internet explorer didn't log in EE editor using user "admin" and pwd "pass". I've checked the cookies config and all seems o.k. Then I tried with Opera browser and logged in.

Changed user/pwd...and now neither IE or Opera log in EE Editor.
What's the problem??
I had RC2 working before and didn't have any problem with the editor login. :cry:

Well, Now I'm running EE 1.5 beta 5 to avoid the RC2 EE login problem (with my config at least). Sure I'll try RC3 or 1.5 final when it comes out :wink:

I'm just curious if there is some way to avoid RC2 Editor pwd protection to be activated by default.
Folder protection would make it for me.
