Looks like you were up nice and early. I like it, especially the way the sky goes from a nice beep blue to the red orange just behind the buildings.

Great timing on this one. Very nice shot. I like how you framed everything around that "city canyon".

Looks pretty darned cold, too

Very Nice...great color and framing. How did you save it to not lose much quality? I took a night shot and after resizing and saving it it comes up a bit grainy on the forum. Is that by the ferry?

Lovely serene shot! Very well composed, I like the way you included the foreground. The smoke wafting at the left side though looks like a smudge. Perhaps clone it out?

Nice one. Maybe you should rename it Sunrise over B&H Photo since it's right in between you and the Empire State Building. :D

That would be a perfect spot to shoot the Manhattan Solstice. I'm not sure when that occurs next, but I would check it out.

Good cloning job Courierman, but it is customary to ask the permission of OP first before going ahead with any conversion/PP of your own with his/her image. Welcome to the forum by the way, and please share your photos with us.

About the pic, that's a nice perspective of 34th Street - it looks like a canyon from ILK's vantage point.

Thanks for the kind words!! I don't mind the re-edit. I appreciate it. Anyone have any tips on how to clone? Each time I clone, the editing looks obvious. It ends up looking like a bunch of poka-dots. lol

Thanks again!
Here's another shot from the same series. This pic is more of a common view of Midtown NYC. I used backlighting on the first shot. This exposure is more of a standard take, which probably made less of an impact as the first shot. Any comments & criticisms on how to improve is highly welcomed!!

I like the two. That orange pink color cannot be seen otherwise with the tall buildings and the reflections are meaningful. I really like both. The second one should be made into a puzzle. :)

your a night guy, most of your shots are from around this time of the morning. What do you do for a living?

Great shot too. But its too cold for me to go down by the water.

I am a Cisco WAN Engineer that supports the Asian/Austrailian financial market. So that means I work at night. I get out at around 3:30am, where in which I go out & shoot. You're right though, 90% of my shots were taken at night. I'm switching schedules soon, so I'll have the opportunity to shoot more day pics.
