Very interesting sculptures! Who did them? The shots could probably use a little lightenning up in PP, well composed shots though.
Thanks for sharing!

That is some serious sculpting talent there. I agree with the lightening, though taking pics of snow is difficult as throws the white balance off. Thanks for sharing!

It is an annual contest in this area and sculptors from all over Illinois, Wisconsin and other states come to compete.
Thanks for the suggestion...I think I was able to correct the problem.

K-9, I did a bit of PP on one of your pics, do you mind if I post it?

Hi K-9, sorry about the delay, I had to cook dinner (tempura night tonight!). Anyway, here's a quick PP work. I burned in the shadows in the snow figure to give it a bit of detail. Snow is so light in color that you have to help it along so that there would be more texture in your subject matter.

This looks great. Would you mind explaining how you filled in the shadowing. FYI I am using Photoshop Elements.

Thanks Greg!!! I have had my 20D for over a year and I am finally getting some time to become acquainted with it. I just have the kit lens:cry: but I am looking into adding some new stuff before my wife gives birth to our first child:D :D :D (Due in August)

Wow, that's cool. Out here we just have sandcastle contests. The white stuff doesn't stick around long in the rare times we get it.
