It rained here overnight. Late this morning it started clearing and I decided to try and get some pics. I haven't seen anyone take these angles of downtown LA, so I decided to post. There not that great as I am still trying to learn.:p
The first one is taken from Elysian Park above Dodger stadium. This is also next to the park that was in the opening scene of Terminator 2.
The second was taken from Beaudry Ave. somewhere between 2nd & 6th St.

Here's a couple of more.
This 2nd pic, the sun is reflecting off of this building and another one from behind where I was standing.

#4 looks like the sun is the end of a candle that is lit!!! Kinda cool. #2 is my favorite, but the leaves on the top right are a bit of a distraction... have you considered cropping them out or doing something to them in pp? Otherwise, it's SUCH a great shot! The sky is super, and the colors on the buildings look awesome~

Thanks for the comments. On #2 photo, that was the best of my very limited abilities. If I try to crop out the leaves then one of the buildings get cropped out, so I left it in.
I am new to PS, so I wouldn't even know where to begin.

The first pano is interesting. I went to Elysian Park myself recently to try and get a similar panorama, but the sun was really badly placed for the shot I was after, so I didn't even bother. I guess you'd need to be there at sunrise to get the best light for that shot.

Thanks Duder. Yeah, I took that shot late morning. It started off really cloudy and then it started to clear out. It was really hazy/grey, so that was the best that I could do. I am learning and hoping to get better.

I feel your pain... i'm lost as a goose when it comes to pp, and it isn't looking like i'll be able to buy cs2 or cs3 anytime soon... (low on funds)

Nice shots. A pano on a clear day? Good job. Photo #3 makes the building look razor sharp!
