Nay, she really isn't rich but she thinks she is!!! Any critiques would be appreciated. I just bought a Canon 400/D so I am still learning.http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/9760/lifeofluxuryvr4.jpg

The composition is not bad but the doggy is a bit too bright in the center of all that dark. If you can use you flash in conjunction with the ambient light you will get better results.

Decrease the shutter speed as well as the power of the flash - the combination of both will help keep the BG from falling totally in to shadow. :)

Also, looking at the puppies leg, it looks as if you have a shadow from the lens on it. That can happen if your shooing up close and have a longer lens or maybe have a hood on.

i personally like the shot, but i am a big fan of pet photos! Looks like a great shot to me! could probably crop the couch out some on the right side, imo

She's certainly a lovely dog. Try the shot with plain cushions. I also prefer not to crop legs in half.
