I just got a Canon Digital Rebel only to find that my 2 Sigma lenses are not compatible. I have the Sigma 50mm f2.8 macro and a 18-35 lens. They both give me an error if flash is used and often without flash as well. My Canon lenses work fine. The Sigmas both work well with my Canon A-2. I was wondering if anyone has had that experience.

I've heard a number of guys say the same thing with the older Sigma lenses. You can send them to Sigma and they will rechip them.

If you call them at (631) 585-1144 and give them the serial numbers, they can tell you if your lenses can be re-chipped to work with your camera. If the lenses are still in the current line up, they will re-chip them for free. If not, they will offer to take your old lens and give you credit towards a new lens.
