Sorry abour the lack of captions, my laptop harddisk died and the captions are on my workstation at home.
Game was a good one but I was having an off day so I am not happy with some of the images.

Looks like #4 missed his dunk.
What lens were you using?

Thanks Cornick,
the ball went straight through the hoop but I have no idea why it ended up above the backet again.
I used a 1D MK1 and a 50mm 1.8
ISO on all was 1250 @ F1.8 to obtain 1/320.

Hah, I was thinking the same thing!
Is this semi-pro ball over there?

This is the 2nd highest level of basketball in the UK. This is the EBL league, above that is the BBL which is the same level as the NBA.
If the side carry on as they are, they should be promoted.
Some of the players work full time normal jobs and fit practice and games around these, some work part time and some (are still in university).
I think in the BBL, a high percentage are classed as full time pro's.

Very nice set of shots. How did the 50 focus in these conditions?

Thanks for the comments.
The focus can be hit and miss sometimes, most of the time it's fine but everynow and then the focus will hunt for a second trying to grab the player.
It's still a cracking lens though for under $100.
