It certainly looks like a neat piece of software but I'm a little confused. I used the beta and was able to do lots of "developing" and even continue editing in Photoshop but when I tried to save it in PS, the Jpeg format wasn't an option.
What is everyone doing with their photos when they're done manipulating them using Lightroom? Do they just print from there? If so, is there a way to save the final product as a jpeg form? I couldn't find that option.
I hope someone can enlighten me. Thanks.

Just a complete guess from someone who hasn't used lightroom but seen a similar issue in photoshop - are you sure you're not in 16 bit mode somehow? In PS if you are in 16 bit it won't let you save a jpg, you need to go to Image/Mode to change.

In Lightroom, use the export button, you can save as many types of formats. If you couldn't save as jpeg in PS, its probably because of 16 bit mode or you didn't select save as copy and have layers.
its a full workflow system, you can import, add metadata, IPTC, keywording, then rate the photos, then edit one and save as a preset and apply that to others, make vrtual copies to try different effects on one photo without ruining it or taking up extra disk space, clone and heal or remove red eye in the meta data (non destructive editing), correct WB, exposure, color, etc.
You can print it, witha awesome print driver, make slide shows with music, and make html or flash galleries, or continue to edit in photoshop.

Looks to me that I might not have to keep upgrading to the next great PS. Everything I basically use in PS I can use in Lightroom. And most things Lightroom does maybe just a bit better.......especially when it comes to printing.

While I'll certainly be spending more time in LR than PS, check out the new stuff in cs3
