Hi,
I'm planning to use my 580EX with an eBay 16 channel wireless trigger. I have read the threads on this forums regarding the use of hot shoe adapter for 580EX. Some even recommends ebay sellers such as magic_trigger and photogearok as they sell the correct hot shoe adapter with it.
Unfortunately, I have tried contacting them and neither agreed to ship to Asia. Anyway I'm in much confusion on picking the correct hot shoe adapter so i can use the wireless trigger's pc sync to the 580EX via the adapter.
I've searched through ebay and there's a lot of them including this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160083728665
Is that the right adapter?
Thanks in advance

Read my post in this thread for my recommendation on a hotshoe adapter.

In short, get the $5.00 one from "photogearok", it is the only inexpensive one I know of that has a 1/8 inch phono plug (also called a mini plug) that will allow you to plug the radio slave right in (with the adapter that comes with the radio slave). It will also accept an inexpensive Alien Bee 15 foot sync cord. This will give you a backup for your radio slave.
Enjoy! Lon

Thanks for the reply. I did read the thread earlier before. As I said in my post, unfortunately "photogearok" does not ship those items to Asia. Other Ebay sellers are either not supportive or have no clue on the adapter.

The adapter on your link should work. Also you need a sync cable look like the one below, but I suggest to find one that is at least 12" long.

Or one like this

But like what Lon says, mini plug is more reliable than standard PC connection. Also the PC port on back of Ebay receiver is prone to break from the inside.
