Are there any secret locations, favorite places to shoot around the bay area? Please share! I am looking for all kinds of settings.

Are you inquiring about the South Bay only? Here are some of my favorites:

-If you can get to the Fremont Older Open Space Reserve (http://www.openspace.org/preserves/pr_fremont.asp), take a hike up to Hunters Point & you shall be rewarded with a magnicent view of the Santa Clara Valley.

-Stanford University in Palo Alto

-Santa Cruz/Capitola

-If you like to do some macro, perhaps a visit to Sunset (http://www.sunset.com/sunset/web/Magazine/GardenTour/GardenTour.html) Publishing's gardens in Menlo Park could be good in the Spring.
