Nice compositions on the Avocets, however, the white appear to blown. On a bright sunny day, I would back off -1 on the EC.

Nice shots but as Dennis says, the whites are a bit blown.

They are also slightly out of focus; please don't take offense at any of these comments; we, including myself, are constantly tossing such images, I take hundreds, sometimes thousands of pictures in a week, and wind up tossing the majority of them, due to all sorts of focusing problems, incorrect exposure, and sometimes there's nothing wrong with the technical stuff in an image, but the subject " just does'nt have the right pose"
