Hope someone's got a fix or experience with this one.

Got the I/O Magic drive from Radio Shack (XDrive I). I have a Mac OSX machine and I formatted the I/O Magic drive. I can mount the drive and the CF card I put in it. I can even copy the CF Card that's mounted to the I/O Magic drive to the I/O Magic drive itself, but I it won't transfer the images when I press the COPY button.

Anyone else have this problem?

You mean that it won't transfer the files from the CF card to the drive. OK. What does it do when you try that?

It sounds vaguely like a formating problem, but it is difficult to say without diagnostics.

Hey Bob,

That's the problem. I stick the card in and press copy.. lights come on and then the Error light comes up. I tried my brother's who didn't do anything to it and it worked. I formatted mine using Mac OS X w/ OS9 driver install option turned on.

You think I should format using a PC?

How your brother did formated his?
Can you format it the same way?
Can you try formating it using a PC?

He didn't format his. It's straight out of the box. I guess I'll try formatting from a PC :( The instructions say that it's OSX compatible and the only thing it says is NOT to format using Windows 2000.

Got it working again! :)

I used the "DOS Format" feature in the Disk Utility in OS X and it's working again.
