Mark II release date?

I've heard late March and early April.... has this changed? Sorry if this is a rehashed topic.

I have one on order and am very impatient.

Vendors seem to have different Ideas,. I am in the first shipment that my vendor expects to ship (CDW) and they have told me May..

I spoke to someone at onecall and they thought definitely early april, but maybe they were just trying to solidify my business.

I really hope it is April,. I was told March (which was a clear mistake),. then April (which was more realistic),. then May..

I was led to believe being in the 90s on the wait list that I'd be in the second batch. They thought that would be a week or two after the first batch. That assumes quite a bit though... I hope canon's supply chain is running smoothly.

Yesterday is not soon enough. I do believe that Canon is doing their level best. My rep at CDW has settled on May 10 (I'm 13 and they supposedly have 15 coming by then). He had originally indicated that I would get it well before that date (even though Canon has stated that time frame from the beginning). Even though it is making me nuts, I am going to stick with Canon's statement (following RFM Sports solid logic). Now, if they can just be delivered by DUCK...........

I have been saying "late April" availability for the EOS-1D Mark II since January 29th, the day the press release went public. See message #206922 for reference.

We still expect the EOS-1D Mark II to start shipping to authorized dealers in late April, and furthermore I am told that the initial shipment dates to dealers will be fairly consistent worldwide.

I can't be more precise than that at the present time.

Like I have said before folks, the date has never changed since the get-go. ;)

I spoke with my Canadian supplier yesterday and he still maintains a second half of April delivery. This hasn't changed since he first gave me a date.

Perhaps those that are hearing later dates are the ones that are just trying to get on the list now and are given these dates due to the first round of deliveries being spoken for.

I, too, have heard from many Canon "people" that late April - early May is the time period to expect delivery of the 1DII. That time period hasn't changed. And, the dealer I have my deposit with, says the same and still says that the date hasn't changed. We can all hope for earlier....but, doesn't look like it will happen any sooner (?).

I am guessing it will come the week after the NHRA supernational here in Houston. My best guess, given my luck.

One info I saw: In germany lauch date will be 20.4 and it should be in shops there between 21st and 23rd.
