ATV Ice Racing, Lake Wisconsin

My buddy, Jorge Bonilla races quads every Sunday on Lake Wisconsin. This is not him though. He was usually in 2nd and 3rd. This was my first time shooting ice racing...challenging, when the wind blows!! I had to keep wiping my gear all day! I'll post more as I go through them. This is the leader. The rest of the pack gets whiteout conditions!

Jorge Bonilla. The orange tape is keeping his coat together. He was involved in an accident, the previous race and the studs on the tires sliced the coat wide open! But the orange helped greatly for spotting him on the track!

Are those carbide studs all around the tires?

Yep, all over the tires! He races in Pro studded classes. Those studs will shred flesh! I'll post a pic of what those tires do to traffic cones!
