Ritz slips again...

They were kind enough to send me an email saying:

We just wanted to let you know that we have your order and have not forgotten you.

We will ship the order as soon as the products are received from the manufacturer. "

So here is my order history with Ritz:

Item orderd on 4/18.......ship date 5/16
checked status 4/19.......ship date 5/19
checked status 4/23.......ship date 5/23

I know if I cancel the order, and buy from someone else I probably won't get it any quicker.....

I just read an article where Ritz is buying Camera World. Ritz sure has been doing a lot of expansion in the last year or so. They are either going to end up being a very major player in the photo industry or else collaps from expanding to much too fast, like some companies have done. But I sure hope they improve Camera World since they are only about 15 miles from me.

My date slipped yet again!

Ordered April 5th, slipped to May 11 from May 4th

I cancelled my order with Ritz and ordered through PC Connection on friday. The order was 8 days later than original order at Ritz and now I have my original ship date back (May 15th)!!!! They told me I was #9 out of 10 units expected in on the 15th.

I placed a special order at one of their stores. I wonder if I can cancel it? Dealer told me one thing but when I got home and looked at the paperwork it told me another.

Try PC Connection has same price as Ritz and is much more user friendly. I was told yesterday by my corporate rep that they had 117 ordered and that they expected 300 units in on the 15th of May.

Hmmmm... my "expected to ship" date is listed as of May 4th (TODAY) on their order status page....

Could it be that my unit's ready to go?
