Slick silk surrogate valentine. Question... will she swoon over this bouquet, or should I shell out for the diamond Bulgari thingee? Wuddaya think?

I think this is very different in a great way. I can almost see a pair of pouty lips near the bottom of the pic. -- I like it :)

Heh heh.... Luvvit. 50% of the negative reviews are male, 50% of the positive female. In my business we calls that "perfect market segmentation"! ;)


Hmmmm.... I sorta hoped this valentine thingee would resonate with women. Hope it works that way? Lemme know.... :?: :lol: :?:

There are so many patterns in this shot! Such elegant symetery! I'm curious about the PP on this one.

Oy! Yeah, I worked on the patterns, thanks for noticing their swirling presence. As for the pp, you can see the mirrored image... sorta. I created two very different versions of this image separately. Then combined them and using adjustment layers balanced their color spaces and married them working carefully to abscure the seams by drawing from a third version of the image I created to pull from in order to both cement the twin versions and to create an additional "reality" at the joints.

Incidentally there was pre processing as well. I took two images of the original flower, one in tack sharp high-shutter speed precision, the second in a much longer exposure, twirlng the camera as it was exposed. These were joined using careful masking to bring out edges and highlights, then I reinforced the edge presences with various curves adustment layers and selective smart sharpening. But I imagine you guessed at that?

From a craft stand point, I hope you will find that it worked? From an artistic standpoint, I wanted the entire thing to become a pink/red valentine Georgia O'Keefe misty. Again... hope the fantasy pops out?
