OK...finally got out during daylight today to shoot a little. Sorry for the # of pics. Found an inviting field of flowers to shoot and although I shot quite a few closeups with blurred background that looked OK, I was trying to find other creative options. One thing I found that in bright daylight in a field of yellow flowers both exposure and white balance are not at all what I expected. I must say I was kind of disappointed at all of the blown shots when I got back.
I welcome any comments on the attached pics., but please advise on how you would approach such a scene from both a lens perspective (WA, prime, zoom, etc.), and from a composition perspective. Most importantly, is there a trick to getting the correct exposure, white balance in this situation? I shot primarily in aperture priority mode and for the most part they turned out way too dark. As usual, thanks for your help!
