I've been posting here for a while in various sections, but this is the first time I've posted in this particular section. So please go easy on me.

This was one of the first shots out of my newly acquired G7. What do you think?

Awful I hate it you cant take pictures at all can you?...

hehe.. I think its fantastic I love the light, the shapes and the shadows. The only thing I think distracts are the straight shadows to the left, I think they would be quite hard to clone out. Well done.

Thanks for that. The shot is pretty much straight from the camera, cropped and converted to B+W. I'm lazy, so prefer to do as little PP as possible.

Yes, the classic empty park bench. Always a good subject and well executed. I'm starting to like the park bench shots better with people on them....or birds...or something. They look so lonely just empty like that :-(

You've also helped me too. I've been thinking about getting a compact camera. The G7 is now a top contender.

Glad to help a fellow Aussie. I've actually been super impressed with the G7 and can't say enough good things about it. Feel free to check out a few more of my shots with it at
