Berkshire (UK) Sports Shoot

Seems like there's a few people around this general area. I'm just guaging interest in organizing a bit of a meet to do some sports shooting. I'm thinking about on a weekend day, but have no firm opinions on what to go shooting.

If anyone's interested in joining in, or have suggestions, then reply here....

Providing it's not the start/middle of April, then count me in. :)

I've got visions of hundreds of white lenses turning up to a Sunday league game and everyone thinking the other team has a superstar turning out for them!! ;)

I think that a few white lenses and one guy with a big mobile phone and a clipboard would make them work a little harder, don't you? ;)

Could be fun, the thought of a bunch of togs turning up with a load of big white lenses at a non-league game could be quite amusing :)

Another option is shooting some Polo over the summer? I covered some at the Guards Polo club last year, on a Saturday there are usually a few games going on, plenty of space and something different? Not sure when the Polo season starts, but could do with an event that is outside the football season if possible! Ideal opportunity to take some food and drink and make a decent day of it?

Great suggestion Rich. I'd certainly be interested in that. Big lenses are also pretty good for tamping down sods between chukkas too...!

Looking at the draft fixtures you are looking at the May time frame, but then anytime after that through to Sept / Oct. Just have to avoid weekends when major events are on i.e. Cartier etc.

I know the Media officer so if you want me to enquire about the possibilty? May have to supply them with images from the games but can't see that as an issue.

Sounds good to me. I'd only be too glad to supply images if they're asked for. Do they tend to pay for the images or do they more take them as payment for letting us take photos?
