Thought this was an interesting scene in downtown Oklahoma City.. Anyone else think so?

I think it's interesting, and definitely unusual. I liked how you drew attention to the boot by isolating it from the background through your use of selective coloring.
The only observation that came to my eye was a bit of tension created by the perspective lines. Perhaps the crop - perspective tool in photoshop might work.

Do you mean correcting the little bit of vertical perspective taper?

yes. i looked at your original again and to me the vertical taper throws my eye off the shoe slightly.

That is a nice shot, however, making the boot be the only color is a bit off.
Around the spike and the front of the boot, there is some excess color...I fixed it for you though:
