Does this image have too much foreground showing, would it be more pleasing if some of the foreground were cropped out?

Yes it should be given a more squarish crop. And this appears to be an HDR attempt and you have made it look like a painting that is overly bright - hardly any contrast left in the picture. There are reasons great light allows for great pictures, moreso than great PP can fix average/poor lighting.

As said above looks like HDR attempt or you have used the dredded Shadow/Highlight tool. IMO there is a little too much foreground.

as the Rolling Stones once sang... "Feral Horses, Couldnt drag me away" lol Excellent shot! looks really cool there ( cool as in neat or fun...not cold..lol) Love the name too... Bad Lands!

maybe a little help on exposure. The composition of cliffs and clouds above the horses made it for me.

I did several adjustment layers in levels and saturation as the sun was very bright. I was there too early in the day to get the "perfect" light situation. I also agree that the foreground needs cropping out.
