There's something really appealing about this photo - I think it his cheeky expression, and the lighting is great. The only thing I find a little distracting is the white wall in the background. Otherwise great capture.

I think bounce flash would have been better. Its too obvious you have a flash pointing right at him rather than a more natural looking light.

I agree with AK about the light being bounced rather than direct, but this is still a great shot. Very cute and cheeky looking. Capturing a personality as well as just a person's image is often quite difficult.

Thanks for the input... Now I gotta buy a flash :D That was with the built in flash and I had little else I could do. I never considered the wall? Didn't see it! I could have done something about that! Next time.
Thanks again

Hmmm... there is something appealing and something disturbing about this photo. I would say it's the flash's fault, it made the little guy's wrinkles (well, it appears as wrinkles) too accentuated due to harsh shadows, I presume..

I think you should crop in a bit to remove the dark areas (bottom left) and the flash is a bit too harsh.

not too sure about the bottom crop.
It'd be better without the dark area but by cropping you'd remove a lot of the boy's arm which currently looks like it's on his knee, in a stooped down position as if to come up to you as you're sitting on the floor and whisper a little secret into your ear.
This view kind of adds to the personality and it'd be a shame to lose it.
