Well Ill start by saying, I do beleive I have the best Job in the Air force.. and one of the best jobs, in the world.. how many people can say they get paod to take pictures.. and you dont even have to be great at it. lol

Ups: Fun, See different things, learn alot, they send you to syracuse for photgraphy school after a while.

Downs: Some days are boring, You have to shoot Suicides and child abuse and rape. (no one wants to do that.)

And I dont know if this is an up or down for you.. but on September 30th, Photography with merge with Public Affairs. So you will go to school for journalism AND photogrpahy.

I think of i as a plus.. more, free education. I cant complain.

And deployment is just like any other job basically. it depends on the base. certain bases get tasked more often. Like Vandenerg.. tey have 45 photographers, so they get tasked more than us. (4 photgrpahers) But we do deploy... only sometimes its not to do our job. (TCN duty etc) But you can apply for combat Camera after a few years, and thats a while other story.

I'd really like to talk to you in depth about that Ryan... sometime in the future.

I'm also incredibly interested in that, as I'm planning to go to school for journalism/photography anyways.
