Nice abstract but it don't say "flower" to me.

A hint of stamen or septals might have helped, also the DOF is a bit short as the only things in focus seem to be the edge of the petal (right) and the green stem, left of the stem is just a blur

the colours and the lighting are definitely a thumbs up

I'd agree with it not being a 'flower' picture as such though because at a quick glance you could mistake it for some coloured drapes.

I can see what you are trying to achieve however. I'd take the shot a little farther back to include a bit more flower detail
