I really feel like this picture tells a story, but it might just be because I was there. The older subject on the right, actually has a mostly empty bottle of Jose Cuervo in his hand that I missed.
This was my first time trying to shoot people at close proximity without them noticing. IT WAS F'ING HARD!! I was on a tram that runs between Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. The pic was taken with my kit lens at a disappointing ISO 1600, no flash, hand held.

Nice and candid. I think you did the right thing converting it to B&W. The grain adds to the photo. What was your f/stop and lens? I'd think this shot would be great for your 50 - f/1.8 at around f/2.2, ISO 400 depending on just how low the light really is.

I second that suggestion, but great shot.

that is a good candid shot...
of course, there's always the 'you should have done...' or 'you could have done this if you would have used a different lens...'
but you did well for what you were working with, and for not being noticed...

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I got my 50mm a day or two after I took this pic. It was taken ISO 1600 with a kit lens 33mm focal length, 1/10 shutter, f/9 (??). I think I did that for DOF purposes but I honestly can remember why I would have done that (f/9).
