For anyone interested, Alan Hadley the author of the combinez series of stacking software has just started a yahoo group dedicated to it here

Thanks for that Brian. Joined straight away as I could do wih some pointers on using the software. I often don't get the result I am looking for but that may be down to only using the preset sequence.

Thanks Brian, will have to join this one, even if I don't do much stacking.

Brian,
Thanks for the link. I had a computer crash recently and am now using CombineZP with my Vista OS on a new computer. Seems now when I save as a tiff file, the stacked image has a vertical and a horizontal white line in it. When coverted to a jpeg the lines go away. My other stacking program was a much older version of CombineZ if I remember correctly. Worked like a charm.
Want to show you but when I convert to a jpeg they go away. The rest of the image looks good just like in the older program. I do prefer to make my prints from a tiff file.
Any ideas on what's up with the lines?

Charlie- afraid I don't output TIFFS so don't have any idea on the problem. Only suggestion to try is go to VIEW\got to frame and try going back to one of the slices and then back to the stacked frame and se if the lines are still there.

Brian,
Thanks I think I can do what you say. Do you save your images as a jpeg?

Yes I do not process to TIFF and in fact delete my RAWS after a month- just keep a Quality 12 jpeg for long term storage. I just take too many pics to store anything else. Not had any problem with publishers with this.
