Being scared of spiders, this was one of the most of the scariest shoots I've ever had to do, bearing in mind this beauty was out of its tank and shot from around 4 inches away

I've learned to appreciate their beauty and respect them.
One bite from this critter means hospital food and anti-biotics (if you get off lightly  )

ENJOY ( ???:-| )

Here's one to give a sense of scale:

Hi, great shots Steve. I used to keep and breed spiders and have some film shots of a mating attempt of the Chilean Rose Tarantula. They are one of the friendliest of the Tarantulas.
Their venom is like that of a bee sting in this species but the 2.5cm fangs wouldn't be very pleasant if in bedded into your hand if you were bitten. ;)

Thanks folks.

I think I fluffed on settings and could have done a better job with DOF but will get a chance to have another go at some point in the future.

Thanks for looking :)
