I took my ne D30 (backup camera) out today to get to know it in case I need it in a pinch. Anyway last night I took the battery cover off yesterday to see what was in there. Not the LiPo battery but the one that keeps the settings. Anyway I put it back on, but obviously not good enough becasue I lost it. Now I don't know what to do. Man I had this thing for like two days. Any ideas?...Dean

Call Canon...I'm sure they can mail you a replacement. I did the very same thing years ago with a Pentax LX. Lost the little battery cover screw-in thingie...I called Pentax and they sent me a replacement for free.

I will have to call them then. I went out to get to know the thing better, got some incredible photos. However losing the cover just ruined my night. Things are looking better now. Thanks for helping me out...Dean

Heya Dean, don't get too down on yourself. We've all won the infamous "freakin' idiot for a day" trophy. In fact, I have a case full of them. You shouln't have a problem at all getting a replacement from canon. Glad you got some good shots. At least you know you have a nice little backup camera.

Try putting the tag before the address and the tag to close it.

Nope,

still doesn't work, I think that msn, like yahoo and some others does not allow linking straight to the image. The only way to display it is by providing a link to the page:
http://groups.msn.com/CanonDigitalRebel300DSupportGroup/deansphotos.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=643

eg. http://groups.msn.com/CanonDigitalRebel300DSupportGroup/deansphotos.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=643

Try putting the tag before the address and then at the end to close it. Not both of them together.

Nice pic. To get the url, display the web page as you did before - but then right-click on the image itself and choose properties. Select and copy the complete url displayed in the properties screen to use in your post.

Edit screen looks like this:

Ron, I use WinGrab:-

It's free and works very well. I have version 1.50.09.

Jeez, why re-invent the wheel?

Just press the "PRT SCR" / "PRINT SCREEN" button, It takes a screen shot & saves it on the clipboard.
