Hi
Any feedback on this one would be great. Do you like the composition?
Thank you,

the colors are fantastic, nothing to much to say..but if you'd force me to say something i'd complain about how dark the hill is, but thats about it. and it's not even all that bad

Excellent. i like the fact that the sky is only part of the picture but also forms an integral part of the composition.
The whole picture is perfectly composed.

Like timmy, I feel the hill in the foreground is a bit dark. That being said, I still like it very much. Good composition. :D :D

To me it feels a bit cramped. I took the liberty of down loading it & having a play. The composition I liked best was letterbox with the bottom half cropped off. This gives a better balance (to my eye) and removes the dark foreground issue others have mentioned.

Yes, a bit dark.
But I love the way the lines in the foreground take me to the tree. And then the cloud behind frames the tree, which leads me right across the clouds.
Well done. I'd love to see this with the sun behind you.

Just a tad dark, as others have said, but that hardly detracts enough from it for me to mind. I think it's absolutely beautiful, really. :)

I preffered it full frame, the lines of the hill lead you in. Lovely composition. Looks idealic

That's why I said "I liked best" and "to my eye" - it's all subjective isn't it.

Yep, I like that a lot.
Yes, the foreground hill is a little dark, nothing a mild tweak in PS couldn't fix.
However, the question was of composition, and I think you nailed it perfectly. Those clouds are the icing on the cake , but I reckon the shot would work without them as well.
Cheers

I like both the original and the crop. I think the clouds are essential. It's a good picture without them, but a great picture because of their presence -- they add both color and texture. While the foreground is dark and could be lighter, it's not unacceptably dark to me.

I think the original is fantastic! Its good enough to win a contest, IMHO.

Errrr. I agree :?
I think the foreground has loads of detail in it and would benefit from lightening to bring out the detail. Apart from that, it is a lovely, lovely shot. As far as composition goes I like both ideas here.
Thanks for posting

I kind of like the cropped one.

I perfer the full frame. Both are good, but the cropped one feels a little too "far away" and impersonal. The full frame feels like a lush green carpet unrolling open to meet my little toeses.
In other words, I would hang the first one, but not the second.

Photo is simple beautiful, just needs to be lighter, which im sure is possible in photoshop
