I like the first shot. You can just imagine what they are thinking. The first and second pictures are a great capture of the kids. Quite the expression on the third picture!

The pictures are nice and sharp. Good lighting on the first one, but the background bare legs are a bit distracting. The darkness of the second one makes it look like a pro level event. It is intriguing. I like the blurred background on the third one. Are these with your 50 1.8 or the 70-200? I have been shooting wrestling with the 50 1.8 and find it very tough to get a shallow depth of field with this lens unless the wrestlers are up close to you on the mat (or with a longer lens). I personally like the blurred background of the crowd, where others like it in focus.

I have learned a lot from reading the wrestling threads here. Thanks for posting! Keep up the good work!

I used my 70-200mm. I was literally on the edge of the mat for these...sometimes to close for this lens...but not often enough...I've used my 50mm just a few times at another meet and didn't feel i could get in close enough either.

Yeah, i couldn't figure out what to do with the ref's bare legs...I think i was actually across the gym shooting another wrestler in our club when I saw this match going on (also a boy in our club).
