10D w/ White Lightning wireless remote question

I have 4 WL X1600's with the vagabond. I've been using standard cables and my wireless wife on a ladder control system (works great, bitches alot).

I'm ordering the wireless package with controller/transmitter and 4 receivers. Now, I understand how to use the transmitter to adjust the lights, etc. My question concerns using the transmitter to fire the lights from the camera. The unit should be able to be plugged into the camera and used as a firing transmitter with the shutter (according to the specs).

White Lightnings usually come with everything you need to operate, cables, connections, etc., but, is there anything specific that I need for using the 10D/any EOS to fire the transmitter with the shutter, special sync cable other than the one which comes with the flashes, etc? Does anyone else use this wireless system? Any tips/tricks?

I did email WL, but they probably won't check emails over the weekend.

Edit: what confuses me about this setup is that the description (see link above) indicates that the *transmitter* can be used as a "fully functional radio slave". So, if the transmitter is the slave, what is the master? It seems that the transmitter would be the master and the receivers the slaves.. Obviously I'm missing something. So, what exactly goes between the camera and the transmitter/"radio slave"??

It seems the Alien Bees wireless remote system is identical. So, does anyone use the wireless remote system with a set of AB's? What is between the camera and the transmitter that allows you to fire the flashes with the shutter?

I contacted WL and the information on the web site is incorrect. The transmitter is, in fact, the master (not the "radio slave") and connects to the camera with a standard synch cable (included with the package). We'll see how well it works soon enough.

I've seen a similar product that you can place the MASTER in the HOT SHOE of you camera. No Sync cable needed.
