Does anyone know if the wireless Sekonic flash meters will talk to the hensel porty system?

If it has a Pocket Wizard built in or attached then it should.

Are you sure of that? My understanding is that a Sekonic meter with the built in PocketWizard module or one you add the module to will only work with PocketWizards. Have you tried or seen this work?

Robert, Hensel units do not have PW compatibility built in. If you can connect the PW receiver, the Sekonic PW transmitter will trigger it.

The Hensel wireless system is on a different frequency and PW's won't talk to it. I use 2 Pocket Wizard Plus II's. One on the camera and one on one of my Hensel Integra 500's. I'm pretty sure the Porty is the same. My Sekonic L558r with PW works great with this system.

Many strobe systems are coming with PWs built in. Sounds like yours has another brand. So, in this case, no go. Yes, I have seen the PWs work with other brands.

Thanks for the discussion guys. After more research (and a chat to BH Photo) it looks like I might swing toward the Profoto equip and add a pocket Wizard. Seems that Hensel will only work within it's own realm, so would have to add the pocket wizard (which means I'd have 2 wirless setups on one unit, a bit silly really).
If anyone else has experience in this area, please contribute your knowledge.

I am only aware of a few, not many.
I think you can get Pocket Wizard function built into some models of flash gear from:
Profoto
Dyna-lite
