Questions on IXUS 500 USB Interface cable

I bought a IXUS 500 today. (and sold my Powershot G2 too) and have a question on it:

1) Is there a difference in the white USB interface cable for IXUS 500 (IFC-400PCU)

and the black USB interface cable for IXUS 400 (IFC-300PCU)

The 2 different cables are interchangable. It's just a redesign.

that is what I have discovered too. the 400PCU looks a bit cheapo though
