WOW, What can I say but WOW. I finally got a chance at takin some Soccer shots this weekend with my new 100-400L and WOW. I learned that I can do better MF than AF. I HAVE to LEARN the Custom White Balance trick. My histogram is HIGH right in the middle because the uniforms these kids where wearing where WHITE. BUT WOW what a difference. Now if I can just get CS to work so I can crop the pictures to sell, I will be doing good. Thank you all for your help

Good to hear you're enjoying your new lens. Did you try AI Servo? As long as you're following one player it works great. That's what I usually use, but soccer isn't the easiest sport to shoot as you found out today. As for exposure, it's better to go over than under. As long as you've shot RAW it's easily recoverable, along with white balance adjustments.
