Its a rough draft, its VERY STUPID but hey thats what Cody and I are all about ---- STUPID FUN!
Still need to color correct and tone the video and we will ad our branding and graphics with our logo and of course photographs later to show we can actually use our cameras and are not newbies to the photography world...
Feedback always welcomed, can't wait to hear it!

WE have about 4-5 other videos in store all stupid and fun at least at this time...
This one was designed (as all of them) for our clients to enjoy but also has another point. I found that one thing that seperates TriCoast from others is the partnership Cody and I have as friends and how it has developed into a business. We are not a married couple (though some think we are http://www.pro4um.com/4um/images/smilies/biggrin.gif ) so for two people to actually be in a business together solely for the business is a rare thing it seems. So when I speak at conventions this video was designed to be shown in my powerpoint presenation to start the part of "Teams are built not Born". The others in development will also do the same cross platform marketing by design.
We have a STUPID destination wedding video in the works as well as other on different subjects.
Of course it is great marketing and WOW the power of myspace is simply stunning, the amount of contacts and impact you have was unheard of a couple years ago.
So I don't know how effective it will be but for us it is fun as heck making them so that is all that matters for us. We have fun and in turn our clients have fun!

Very interesting concept (the video and publicity, not the fun part ;))! Engaged couple are usually young and things like MySpace have a lot of appeal to young people. I can certainly see how it can be a very positive publicity! :D

sblais I think you hit the nail right on the head with that statement, we have booked two new weddings since this video has come out, so it is doing something positive for us already and well worth the effort and time in development.
I can't wait for the others to get done and released.

Nice! Although I'm sure that you must not have too much of a hard time finding bookings! Out of curiosity, did the couples specified that they got your info from that video?

Ok, I like this version best, with the added pics at the end. Great job...I showed it to my kids today and they want us to do a parody on it...but I think it would take us years..so you have not a worry LOL...
Great job..that could be an advertising spot if you could shorten it up.

We are pretty booked for weddings but with that said we stress our clients to have fun with themselfs and this video helps let them understand us a little and how we like to have fun and in turn makes them feel a little bit better about spending up to $15,000 with us.
On the two bookings so far, one was on the fence between us and another photographer and the video made her jump on over to our side of the fence, while the other one found us through the video, we talked for several hours on the phone and booked the destination wedding. So like I said so far the SlapStick Video has worked much better than I thought it would, plus being so fun to make it inspires Cody and I to become better at photography.

Yeah we have a smaller or shorter version for that very purpose, glad you liked it as well as your kids. If you make a take off please make sure you post it, I would love to see it!

Well..by the time we get them around to doing it, come up with an idea...ahhh I will be 80, that alone may make for an interesting video...
I really enjoyed it, and the creativity...

Honestly, that is a GREAT idea! It's one of those things that make you ask "Why didn't I think of that?" Obviously your work is very well done, so why not show the clients the idea of just having some fun.
Kudos! (sp?)

Thanks and yeah we have had these ideas in our head for quite some time but really wanted/needed to find the right video company which shared our vision. We wanted the videos to look slapstick, not perfect and many of the companies wanted perfection which is great for a wedding video but not for what we wanted.
So now that we found them we ran down all our video ideas and then what they built upon our ideas we really have some stupid ideas coming out which should be just as funny or maybe with some luck even more funny!

That was our thought process when we made this video. When spending some good cash the more your client knows about you the better so little things like this gives your possible clients an insite into you and your personality which helps signing that check!
