your shots are great. I'd say try a crazier angle/vantage point.

fun shots, its been a while since we moved away. Careful photographing in paseo nuevo, a few too many brookies have ruined it for all and they will kindly escort you out.

Great series - what's with the last pic? Is it a gum repository?
Coreypolis, what are 'brookies'?

Thanks for the tip, I like to get really close with a wide angle or fisheye, but I am always nervous about doing it on the streets

On the b/w conversion, consider a bit more contrast for more pop.
As for the angles, I'd prefer a non eye level shot to retain the viewers attention a bit more.
I visit SB once in awhile as well here is my take on Santa Barbara.

Have you ever heard of Tom Jones' song that goes something like... "This old town looks the same... as I step down from the train....:D
For the second time today, you brought me fond memories of good old days... I graduated from U.C.S.B.
The best memory I have of the State Street is that there was this run-down Thai restaurant off the State Street that, in spite of making a reservation, I ended up waiting close to two hours lines up outside. But the wait was worth it. The food was simply out of this world.... Shortly before I left S.B., due to their incredible success, they were opening their second restaurant... I miss that place, as I couldn't find anything remotely as good as that restaurant during this past 20 years....

Oooo... how did I miss your third photo of "Something's Fishy"!! Since I was a poor college student, I didn't frequent that place often, but I did dine there a couple of times with my college buddies. I can hardly wait to go back to S.B. with my family one of these days....
Any more S.B. photos?
