I know these aren't quite as sharp as the last set, but I have hit sensory overload sorting so I just grabbed a few..... Better ones on the way.... Thanks for looking.... I appreciate it.....Alex

Hi Brandon..... Thanks brother.... I appreciate it.... I am using Mitch's all time favorite, the 100-400 ;) :D :D They get a bad rap but given a sharp copy and some time spent figuring out what settings work best with them they will hold there own against the primes.... I never shoot wide open anyway.... Not enough depth of field for my liking..... It is sharp as a tack at f6.3 and wide open isn't bad, but not sharp enough to require stitches...I get creamy bokeh at f8 and so it is a non issue..... Thanks again Brandon..... I appreciate the nice comment on these.... Take care.....Alex

OMG, I cannot imagine hummingbird/behavioural photography being any better than this!!! Simply incredible photos of a very rarely observed moment! :D I hope you have more to share because I will never get tired of hummer pics like these!:D How close are you to the subjects?

Alex Paul

Thanks a lot Downyman :D :D... I have lots and I am geting more everyday..... Your comment means a lot to me pal.... I have a dozen or so in the bushes and trees out back right now and it is a lot of fun to watch their antics and love of family :D They are getting comfortable with my presence and I am able to get almost close enough to reach out and touch some of them... I stay near the young one and the mother buzzes me once in a while and then tends to the young one.... I sometimes am to close to hit focus and have to quietly back away to nail it..... BTW This should end the myth that the 100-400 is inferior in the sharpness department.... These are all hand held and at this close distance I would say it is damned near as sharp as a macro lens...... Thanks again pal.... I really appreciate it.... Take care....Alex

Mom out getting groceries is an excellent caption Alex.
I just love that first shot though of the parent and youngster, this is one top notch shot, but all of them are good, well done.
