Never been to it before but were going this weekend and really looking forward to it, its a shame Canon arent going to be there but yah can walk into any camera shop and look at Canon cameras anyway so its much more important to us that theres a good selection of other associated photography business suppliers there that were very interested to look at.

This show is great timing for us, its our first full year and our first wedding of this year is currently in April so this show gives us a great chance to fill in equipment, supplier and knowledge gaps ready for the madness of this years wedding season.

Anyone else going, or been before and have any top tips to get the most out of it, any bargains to be had ?

Really good selection of album suppliers going there including Graphistudio who we are using for this year and weve booked a session with them which I am hoping will be very useful but also interested in seeing what else is available out there.

Heres our list of things were particularly interested in, if your going what are you going for ?

- Graphistudio Seminar
- Sensor cleaning kits
- Album Suppliers - Sim2000, Spicer Hallfield, others
- Photography Associations Membership
- Insurance (Equipment, Liability and Indemnity) weve got some quotes already so will be looking out for show deals
- Pro Show Gold
- Album Creation Software.
- Proof Boxes
- Reflectors, light stands and other stuff on the equipment list we still have to buy for this year

We'll be there on Sunday, got some seats to see Jeff Ascough's workflow demo.
It's really the best place to find out about the various album manufacturers. There'll also be some opportunity to get a discount on some gear.

Just got back, as a newbie it was a very useful day.

Had a good look at lots of album suppliers
Looked at quite a lot of gear
Had a useful sit down chat with Graphistudio
Watched quite a few tutorials on various different apps
Bought quite a bit of gear, actually quite a lot in truth ... we spent about 2k just with Jacobs as we went with a shopping list of stuff that we wanted for this years weddings with the best prices we could find on the web and they were lower on all but a couple of things and obviously no delivery charges as well so we saved a couple of hundred quid there. Plus a few other bits elsewhere .... you have to do the research first though because not everything is cheaper.

Dont know if we will go next year unless we have some more gear purchases or want to change album suppliers but for us this year it was very useful, plus we only live half an hour down the road from the NEC so its no big deal getting there.
