Submitting photos to a magazine

Hi,

If a photography/camera magazine asks for copies of my photos to put in one of their issues, do I need to get releases or is this considered as editorial? They are building and cityscape shots.

Editorial use requires no release, at least here in the states. I imagine the same applies across the pond.

Thanks, that's what I thought, just wanted to make sure. Yeah it is the same here any images used for editorials do not need a release. Just wanted to make sure it was the same for any kind, newspaper, magazine etc.
