Burnt corners?

Hi all...I'm mostly a lurker around here but I have a question. How do you do the burnt edges effect? I'm using PSP XI but I can follow along with most PS instructions.

You need to look into Vingetting.

Were you looking for something to darken the edges (like with the burn tool) or something that give the appearance of the edges really being burnt, as with fire?

Thanks...I've been searching the web for a vignette tutorial but haven't had any luck yet. I don't want the traditional vignette (screams funeral card to me) but just something to darken the corners a bit.

Thanks for the link. I think I'm looking more for a vignette-type tool...someone mentioned the burn tool?
