What happened in your life to make you want to be a photographer?
Any certain event? Shot?

Getting dropped on my head as a child? ;-)

Honestly I don't know. I blame genetics. My two grandfathers were camera guys, my parents were both camera people - so I guess I came by it via DNA. My sister is also into it.

No F'ing clue. I came on this site one day to find a compact P&S that would do everything in the world but make breakfast. I left after I got my answer. Came back a couple months ago to get a new one, got talked into buying a DSLR, and now I'd never even consider my life without one.

I guess for me, after years of being told I had a face for radio!!
Thought I'd look better behind the camera than in front of it! lol
No really I was always the one in the family shooting all the pics and taking all the videos and just started loving it!
Bought a lil Olympus digital 3.3 meg camera one day and the rest is digital camera history!!!!
Not to mention I get to shoot some lovely women!
And sports!
Damn and sometimes I can't belive I get paid for doing this! (part time)

It brings out the creative, artsy side of me. I have always been a math and science guy. Photography is a perfect balance between the technical and artistic sides of me

My mother's always been the creative one in my family. She plays the piano, paints, sculpts and does all sorts of arty things (including a bit of photography).

Unfortunately, I didn't inherit the genes for creativeness in that way, but I did get an eye for artistic appreciation, and it's that aspect of creativeness that I can express through photography.
