Hi guys,
I was kinda hoping that some of you have an opinion about the LowePro bags. As no dealer in DK has a proper selection of any bags (lowepro or not), I have to settle with NOT getting to see nor touch the bag before I'm buying.
Currently I'm looking for either the Nature Trekker AW II or the Photo Trekker AW II. The bag should fit as airline handlugage (and these do), and it'll definitely be a good thing if it'll hold just a few non-photographic items.
What do you think - any opinions?
Now I'm at it, do any of you know where I can buy a "hit'n run" safe camera-strap?

Hi Johnny,
I just bought a Computrekker AW, and it's great! It has a lot of space for both laptop-computer and my EOS 10D with lenses etc.. I am in Norway, and I don't think it would be a problem for you in Denmark to order from the same shop as I did. (http://www.mpx.no)

Hi Lars!
That one looks good to me! :)
Just a question. Is that Backpack waterproof :?:
I myself am searching for a good Backpack and it must be waterproof. 8)
I would hate having a soaking wet camera gear when outdoors.

Lowepro makes the dryzone and AW bags.
I owned a minitrekker AW and replaced that last week for a Phototracker classic, not AW but I believe all their bags are waterproof for rain, but don't know for sure.
For the time being I have lots of space now :D.

Nope, Frank.
I have the Phototrekker Classic and during a long-time outdoor in the drizzle on my Polish trip last year I was confident that my material was secure in the bag. :D
On returning to my hotel room, I immediately checked the backpack to assess any 'damage'. I found the inside of the bag to be moist - not rain-soaked but still damp - enough to worry about my material. I put all the lenses and cameras on a table to make all water evaporate. Luckily no harm was done and the material works. :)
I must say this was an all-day drizzle. I have also encountered short yet intense rain showers, but they did have less detremental effect. :?
With hindsight I regret not having bought an AW series backpack for those (few) rainy outdoor trips. Still, I can recommend LowePro material.

Just found another alternative: Tamrac Expedition 5
Anyone got some experience with this one? Especially when compared to the lowepro nature trekker?
I find it pretty interesting as its less than half the price (99 EUR compared to 250 EUR), and it seems to offer the same features/amount of space.

It is very hard to beat the build quality of LowePro. I have a couple of theri backpacks and many of their shoulder bags. Seems that I like to collect bags
The PhotoTrekker AW is a great backpack. I can stuff every piece of equipment that I own in it, 10D and 5 lenses, mini-DV, P&S Laptop and all the necessary chargers and add ons. I never said that I could lift it, but everything fits and there is room to spare.
