Just thought somebody might be interested. He's got it starting just under $2k with some extras including tripod and hard case. Almost $6k on B&H. 100% positive feedback on seller. Out of my range or needs....

What would one want to do with this tool?
Wouldn't it be better to buy a second-hand 300mm or 400mm 2.8 8) , which can be combined with various Tcons? Just a thought...

You can always use the sigma 2x Tcon and have a 1600mm f/11 with manual focus.......not sure what you'd do with it.

FYI,
This is the old "poopy" version of this lens,. it is NOT the new EX lens currentlly availble. It does not have an HSM motor.
It most likely will NOT be compatible with a 10D/Rebel etc...
I had the misforune of auditioning the "old" 500mm f/4.5 APO beofre i found a used EX... the old was total crap as far as I am concerned.. it is hard toi explain the WORLD of difference between the new EX and these old APOs...
Just FYI.
