I just received my order from B and H.

I got in the Sigma 70-200 F2.8, Sigma 1.4 teleconvertor, Canon 420 flash.

Wow, the Sigma is stout! I cannot see myself trekking around with this lens attached...either that or I need to start lifting weights again! The 1.4 works fine on the Sig, but wont fit on my Canon kit lens. I also will ne a new bag, as there is no room for the Sig lens...

Any thoughts?

I have the same lens and just got a 1.4 teleconverter. Its a good combination. I also had the bag delemma a month or so ago, and ended up getting a Tamrac Pro-12 (model 5612) bag to keep everything in. Its a big shoulder bag. It holds two SLRs and a bunch of lenses, so I keep my Elan in there as well.

I don't carry the whole thing wherever I go, but I have a smaller shoulder/waist bag that'll hold the 10D and a couple of lenses and flash if I want something more portable. I also have a single-camera pouch that'll hold an SLR with medium zoom attached.

All of mine are Tamrac, but you'll find good quality in other brands such as Lowepro as well.

Just think,. it is a LOT lighter than the Canon version

Great lens. you'll start carrying it around all the time once you start to appreciate the how good the pics can be
