i think you've got a great series here...
only thing i can think of to tell you that could be even remotely wrong with them is in the first shot, it looks like maybe her right arm is missing-
probably just the way she's leaning!
you've done well though!

Okay I may like the second set even more! Especially 1, 3, 4 in the second set. Love the idea of the swings but the yellow/blue grabs my eye too much. VERY fun!

Great job! I particularly like the last one of the first set, and I am really digging the composition of the swingset shot although I do agree that the chain covers are a bit distracting - it would probably be a real pain to desaturate just the ropes. Very nice series!

Why were you so pressed for time?
It was the only time they were available and I had a mate's 30th birthday dinner the same night - so we only had an hour in total, and they were running late!

Hey Dan, I love all the black and white stuff. I have a real soft spot for black and white. If I could get away with shooting everything black and white I would. You have to look at things differently when doing black and whites and you seem to have that knack down. Are you a former BW film shooter? You still can't pry the Ilford Delta 400 from my hands even in this digital age.

I haven't shot any film for about a decade!
I love black and white. There is no fuss, no distractions, no hype - just the moment.

Are you serious? Tassie has some of the most beautiul beaches in the world!
Wineglass Bay ring any bells?

Anyway, the shoot was at Howrah beach on Hobart's Eastern Shore. About 10 minutes from Hobart's city centre. There's heaps of great beaches down Hobart way.

Wineglass bay is beautiful - but I would love to see you get a bride to walk over the hill/mountain to get to it:) I remember doing that walk as a kid - it was really hard work. View is worth it of course.

These really are some nice caputures. The couple looks relaxed and natural, which is harder than it looks to acheive, isn't it? You b/w conversions look top notch and I think you chose a nice color balance in the others. I'd be really happy if these were my shots.
Cheers.

Love the pictures. Quick Question. How did you make the frame. Seems pretty simple. Black background with white line with some sort of drop shadow. Is there a simple maske that i can set up so that i can drop in the picture. I have How do you make the white line with the drop shadow?
please give me some advice on this. thanks alot!!!!

I just made the frame in photoshop to fit around a 600x400 pixel image. Nothing really groundbreaking there, just a simple frame, keyline and a little inner shadow.
It's on one layer, to I can automate the process or do it manually for one or two images,

Ok, this is giong to sound really stupid. I havn't done this in a while. say picture is 600x400 would you just expand the canvas by so many pixles on each side? Then on the Key light thing. How do you do that. I read on some tutorial online how to do that. Something about expanding canvas again then doing some sort of fill color. I apologize, I am at work and don't have photoshop in front of me. The drop shadw, i know how to do that :)
