Hello,
I've been asked to take part in a small art show and have been creating "a body of work". I've never been in a show before and am not quite sure how to present my work.
It'll be cool if someone actually buys something!
Once I decide what photos I will have in the show how do I package them?
What sizes should I offer?
How many of each shot should I have on hand?
Thanks for your advice.

I have done things similar to this before. In my case. I had several of my prints matted and framed. They look nice. Just be sure to keep the mat and the frame very simple. If you are planning to sell them keep them as plain as possible. Its a shame to no because to sell someone an image they want because the frame does not match their house.

Lin-Z,
Thanks for the info.
I was thinking of just matting them. What material do you suggest as a backing?

Visit a local art supply store that carries matting & framing supplies.
Buy white acid-free mount board - have the store cut it to size if you don't have tools to cut a perfect straight line yourself. Using hinging tape, attach the print to the mount board. 3M also makes a nice double-sided acid-free tape that's an option. Either buy pre-cut mat board, have the store cut the openings for you or cut them yourself if you have a mat cutter. Using hinging tape to hinge the mat board over the print and mount board. Slide the matted print into an acid-free clear plastic bag (most art supplies stores have these) and seal it up.
It will look professional and is ready for framing.
