Hi
My neighborhood is having a garage sale, and it usually brings in a swarm of people. I have a few photographs that I think are pretty good, and I was thinking of printing a few, matting them, then try to sell them. First question: Should I put my name on the bottom corner of the photograph? Second question: If I'm selling an 8x10 matted print, what should I charge?

Thanks.

Your first question is really a matter of personal preference. If you want your name attached to the print then by all means do it. Given the venue that you are selling at I would probably be more inclined to do it. I don't put my name into the print if someone is ordering a specific print but it does get put on the back of the print itself and the frame.

If you intent is to dispose of the prints at the sale then you might want to settle on a few dollars profit per print. I can't see anyone at a garage sale buying prints that are marked up to what I would normally sell a print at. It's a different venue to try and sell images at, one that I don't have any personal experience at but I do love to go to garage sales and I can say that I haven't seen anyone here selling prints.
