Hi all, I did a family photo shoot (not my family) and it went well. course, we all the know the saying, somethign wrogn when it goes too smoothly. The compact flash card ended up corrupting. I did a Compact flash recovery and that went well except for a few things. I have the majority of the group shots except 2 of them. These 2 groups shots jsut dissepeared. I looked throught them several times, and Havent been able to find them. What should I do? I tried anotehr compact flash recovery program and that didnt do as well. My only plan right now is calling them up and say
"Good evening this is Paul from bla bla, sorry for ther inconvenveince, A few of the group shots I had taken on 2-18-07 have corrupted before I had arrive the computer. I have tried several programs to bring back the protraits, but no luck. At my convcience I will do a re-shoot of the following people that were in the prorait.
Sorry for hassle,
Paul"
I feel sick top my stomach when this happened. Any suggestions?
thank-you

Well, since the problem wasn't their fault, you would need to reshoot the photos at their convenience, not yours. But I would show them proofs of what you do have first. They may not want to go to the trouble of reshooting.

What a nightmare, what make of CF did you have BTW? Like Mark says, be humble and meek and offer a freebie session at their convenience. It will hopefully have given them time to think about what shots where taken and want to do specific "set ups" helping you hopefully.

Yes, the only 2 CF cards I've ever had fail were Lexar. Even though they replaced them at no cost, I only buy SanDisk now.

I have that thing now to get a compact flash no bigger than 512 Sandisk Sorry to hear about your problem! At first I thought that a 512 would be ideal to burn to CD & would limit my losses if they failed, then went 2GB 'cause I got a DVD burner.
I used to make sure that I had a situation on 2 different rolls of film to CYA & maybe that would be a good thing for me to do with CF cards, too.
